How this works is a process called ketosis. Ketosis is a condition by which the lack of carbohydrate consumption forces your body to burn fat at an abnormally high rate. When consuming a normal diet blending complex carbohydrates, protein, and fats, your body will burn carbohydrates and protein before fat because it is more efficient and easier to convert to glycogen.
